Seasonality: The campground typically operates from mid-May through Columbus Day each year, but you should check the current year's dates as they can vary.

Important Considerations

Bears: The area is known for its black bear population, so proper food storage is crucial. Use bear-proof containers and follow all guidelines to avoid attracting bears to your campsite.

Weather: The Adirondack Mountains can experience unpredictable weather, so come prepared for anything from warm and sunny days to cold and rainy conditions.

Pack in, Pack out: As with most campgrounds in natural settings, campers are expected to remove all trash and leave no trace of their visit.

Accessibility: Due to its island nature, the campground may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

For the most current regulations, amenities, and open dates, you should always check the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's website or contact the campground directly before planning your trip.
