Camping at Point Barr
Dispersed Camping: Point Barr is a free, dispersed camping area, meaning there are no designated campsites or developed facilities like restrooms or picnic tables. Campers must be self-sufficient and follow Leave No Trace principles to minimize their impact on the environment.
Accessibility: The access road to Point Barr may be rough, and while it is generally accessible by two-wheel-drive vehicles, road conditions can vary, especially after inclement weather. Higher clearance vehicles may be recommended.
Vehicle Restrictions: Large RVs and trailers may find access more challenging. During wet seasons or after heavy rains, the road could become impassable for these larger vehicles.
Length of Stay: Typically, the BLM allows camping in the same location for up to 14 days within a 28 consecutive day period.
Seasonality: Camping at Point Barr is typically available from April through late November but can vary depending on weather conditions and water levels in the river.

Regulations and Safety Information
Fire Restrictions: Campfires may be restricted or prohibited depending on the current fire danger level. Always check for the latest fire restrictions before your trip.

Respect Wildlife: Do not approach or feed wildlife, and secure all food and garbage to prevent attracting animals to your campsite.
Weather Preparedness: Weather in Colorado can change rapidly. Campers should be prepared for a range of conditions including rain, snow, and strong winds, depending on the season.
